Cascade Platform

Welcome to the Cascade Platform, the area for our e-tutorial films and the e-learning portal for the Sandford Learning Cascade project.

To encourage continued professional development in the historic environment our e-learning portal is an area in which heritage learning staff and volunteers can enter into professional discussions and source relevant support and good practice. As a Sandford Cascade Project particpant you will be given training and login details to access and begin to use the e-learning portal. We hope it will support your practice and inform future development, electronically curating the learning and activities generated by the project. Cascade e-learning portal 

Here you can watch 'Sandford Shorts,' our e-tutorials delivered by Sandford Judges and experts in the sector with a particular expertise relating to the Sandford Award criteria. The web-tutorials have been developed and produced with our media partner, Sandford Award Judges and heritage experts. More films will be added in 2017 and 2018.

Sandford Award Criteria

A short film which outlines the day of the Judge's visit to a site as part of the assessment against the Sandford Award criteria. The film includes real experiences of a Sandford Judge and Sandford Award winning Cromford Mills which took place during a Judge's visit.
